USDOL Assistant District Director to Speak at November SHRM Meeting
The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) NMI Chapter is pleased to have Mr. Patrick Candoleta, Assistant District Director for the USDOL Wage and Hour Division, presenting at its November general membership meeting. Mr. Condoleta will discuss a variety of current labor issues to include the FLSA requirements on nursing mothers in the workplace, an update on recent changes in the FMLA, common violations that should be avoided, and Wage and Hour's on-going strategic enforcement program. These topics will be of special interest to all of as HR professionals and managers, bringing us up-to-date on the FLSA and FMLA, as well as giving us an idea of what we should look for in our workplace to ensure we are complying with the law.
This lunch meeting will be held at the Pacific Islands Club (PIC) Charley’s on Thursday, November 19, 2015, from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm.
This presentation is open to the public and will be an invaluable opportunity for employers and HR professionals and staff to better understand recent labor law changes and what we can do to prevent violations.
