The SHRM CNMI Chapter, the leading organization for Human Resources professionals in the CNMI, is excited to announce an upcoming General Membership Meeting in collaboration with the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (US EEOC). 

This exclusive virtual event, scheduled to take place on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, will address crucial updates and insights on the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act.

The Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA) is a landmark piece of legislation aimed at providing essential protections for pregnant employees in the workplace. It addresses the rights and accommodations pregnant workers deserve, including but not limited to reasonable accommodations, prevention of discrimination, and the guarantee of a safe and healthy work environment for expectant mothers.
